Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X Review

There are several options available for prosumers and professionals seeking a laptop with a potent processor and discrete graphics, but expensive prices can be a problem. The Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X from Lenovo aims to provide excellent performance in a mid-sized form factor while keeping costs down. The machine itself is portable and light, and the design is strong yet elegant. Although we were impressed with the good performance, the battery life is subpar and there aren’t many connectivity options. Despite this, we believe the benefits exceed the drawbacks.

On paper, the Lenovo Slim / Pro X appears to be a powerful device. A Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card with a maximum thermal design power of 55 watts and an AMD Ryzen 6900HS processor with eight cores and 16 threads are both included on this device. With 32GB and 1TB of RAM and storage, respectively, it isn’t a slouch either.
A solid and durable laptop is the Slim 7 Pro X. As the chassis does allow some little flex when the display is opened or closed, the Slim 7 Pro X doesn’t feel as high-end as a Dell XPS or Apple MacBook Pro laptop. Acer Swift, Asus Zenbook, or LG Gram are still inferior to it.
With a thickness of 15.9mm and a weight of 1.45kg, the Slim 7 Pro X stands true to its moniker as well. Although the Slim 7 Pro X isn’t as light as devices like the LG Gram 14 or Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, it has discrete graphics whereas its rivals only have integrated graphics. Impressive for a device with an 8-core processor and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU is the Lenovo’s total size and weight, which is comparable to that of a MacBook Air.

Battery and display Tests
Lenovo provides a good 70 watt-hour battery for the Slim 7 Pro X. For a 14-inch laptop that might be overburdened by the combination of a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card, that is a respectable but not enormous battery.
