Google has introduced its “Google Play Points” reward system in India
Google has announced that India will finally be able to access its worldwide rewards programme. The service, known as Google Play Points, would provide customers points for making in-app purchases via Play Store billing. Apps, games, movies, and even eBooks are all examples of these purchases.
The rewards programme will also have four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Depending on the Tier they are in, which is again decided by how many points they have accrued, members will receive different benefits and prizes. Note that only in-app purchases made through the Google Play Store will be eligible for Play Points.
Users may pick which applications to purchase using Google Play Credit after collecting Play Points. Google wrote in a blog post, “We have also worked with creators of popular applications and games across the world to allow users redeem their points for exclusive in-app goodies.
The Play Points rewards system will collaborate with games from both national and international studios in India, including Ludo King from Gametion and Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool. There will also be participation from other well-known applications like Wysa and Truecaller.
The Play Points system, according to Google, may assist local developers in reaching out to international markets and gaining new consumers. According to Google, user spending has increased by 5% to 30% at several participating developers.
